Stéphane Dion

Founder of YulMedia Interactions and author of several blogs

avatar-steph.jpgFrom 1999 to 2006, Stéphane Dion worked internationally, in the management, aggregation and distribution of media information as Vice-president, Technologies and Operations for CEDROM-SNI. This professional environment provided him with a unique opportunity to develop an exceptional mastery of both the Internet and the blogosphere.

A passionate technology, music and cinema buff, he decided at the beginning of 2006 to organize his expertise and knowledge in a way that could be useful to organizations and he founded YulMedia Interactions, simultaneously launching several blogs on trend-setting topics. Some of these blogs enjoy significant success on a world-wide basis.

A graduate in electronic engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, Stéphane worked for several years (before joining CEDROM-SNI) as a director and project manager for a large wireless telecommunications firm, which led him to assignments in several countries including Brazil, the Czech Republic and France. He was also a co founder of Domoscience, a company specializing in home automation, which he managed for several years.

The Bloggers

YulMedia is a team of dedicated and professional bloggers

Nino Marchetti – Senior editor

nino.jpgNino worked in the high tech sector for almost ten years, most specifically in dot-coms. He was one of the first 20 employees of Yahoo!, serving in various positions including as an early contributor of Web site listings to Yahoo!’s Web directory. He later worked at Active Decisions as a category researcher, developing online shopping guides and related content for a variety of personal electronics categories.

As a personal technology journalist, Nino covers news, reviews and trends about technology and the Internet in the form of articles and blogging. He has appeared on The Today Show and regional morning talk shows as well as being interviewed for CNN Radio and ABC News. His work has been published with The Oregonian, CNET, About.com, iLounge, Digital Trends and AOL’s Weblogs, Inc, among others. Brian McAlpin – Senior editor

brian.jpgBrian has been a creative director and multimedia developer since 1993. He is a partner/owner in McAlpin Group Media Arts and is also consultant or technologist for several other developing new media companies.

After Developing Flash Lite and user interface content for Symbian phones for several years, his mobile efforts now focus on iPhone applications & website development, and it’s inherent marketing future. Just try to get him to shut up about it. Brian is an iPhonefreak active blogger.

Fortune Elkins – Senior editor

fortune-2.jpgFortune Elkins’ first Apple experience came when her mother, a teacher, was given an Apple IIe as part of the old Apples in the Schools program. After college, one of her friends bought a Mac on which to run the then-astonishing Aldus Pagemaker. That desktop publishing experience didn’t work out, but Fortune has since owned a wide variety of Apple products, including 2 Newtons. Since her husband works in advertising, her home network is completely Apple.

He forbids Windows products in their historic Brooklyn house, which is fine by her. Fortune now works as a technology evangelist for a multi-national software company. Read Fortune’s post on iPhonefreak.com.

Jonas Demuros – Senior editor

jonas.jpgJonas has been writing on all aspects of technology for many years on several websites. His most recent work, in addition to his regular contributions on ClicZune, can be found on TechNudge Live where he is the Director of Online Reviews, and also does a weekly podcast. In addition, his interest in entertainment led him to start The Armchair Critic (thearmchaircritic.blogspot.com), a website featuring the most opinionated reviews of a wide variety of entertainment.

As a lifelong believer that all things Apple are overpriced, and overhyped, he decided to really “think differently,” and became a supporter of the Zune. Writing for ClicZune supports his anti-ipod cause.

Timothy Bradbury – Editor

Timothy is an L.A. student an avid Apple lover. His life is organized around Apple products, with a Macbook, an iPhone, and an iPod. He enjoys reporting the news on iPhonefreak and he also likes to write reviews of fun and useful iPhone web applications.

T.J. Carpenter – Editor

Hey! I’m T. J. Carpenter, and I’ll be one of your guides taking you through the technical aspects of everything Blu-Ray from players to home theater set-ups. In addition, I’ll be providing the latest reviews on Blu-Ray movies we are going to be adding to our collections. Needless to say with the dust settled from the format war, there’s a world of HD viewing waiting to be had.

Before we go further, may I allow a brief intro: I’m on the Texas Coast and have been in technology and web for nearly a decade. I’ve been consulting for both consumers and companies domestically and Internationally. In addition, I have worked with Yahoo!, Travelocity and Microsoft with tech development. You can also find two novels I have written at your local Barnes and Noble.

If you have any specific Blu-Ray/Home Theater items you want reviewed, let me know and the team at BluRayFreak will be more than happy to help.
